Edited by Eithen-: 1/18/2014 10:12:05 PM
Enjin is cheap and dirty. It takes very little skill and they have horrible policies, and as far as I am aware they are a huge rip-off in terms of prices.
Enjin is used by MILLIONS of people around the world. That shows it's success in user demand. It may be "Cheap and dirty" to you, but millions of others must think otherwise. Not everyone is a genius at creating websites and it's an effective and easy alternative to creating a site rather than trying to create a site from scratch and get it hosted online. And as for the price, it's not bad.
Secondly, the second that I saw there was ranking and age bias I was immediately turned away. While I myself am not young that doesn't mean I agree with this restriction.
Our Clan is for players over the age of 15. We've made it so because we mostly prefer to game with an older age group. If you don't like that, don't join! And our ranking is not biased whatsoever by age. Our trainee rank is just a rank we give until you play 1 game with a mentor online.
All this plus the fact that your website tiles tells me that this group is probably nothing more than a half thought through mess that is probably going to be run by power hungry tyrants no older than 16 - 18 who want control of others.
A half thought through mess? In my humble opinion, I think we are FAR more organised than any other Destiny clan out there in terms of creating fireteams, squads and helping new players find a fireteam that suits there needs. We currently have Gaming montages, Podcasts, and game nights all in the works weekly. If that's a "half thought through mess" I'd love to see you create a clan/community that's been so successful You also say:
probably going to be run by power hungry tyrants no older than 16 - 18 who want control of others.
Previously you said we we're biased by age, so do you disapprove of younger people being leaders? We have many younger guardians who are highly ranked in the clan for their efforts. So you're being hypocritical there... And I'm 21 for the record. I mean there is other places to go to find players like the sites you named, but they won't be as easily accessible as a clan with the usual guys you play with.
The point that I am trying to make here is that your clan is low quality. Sadly most clans are in this style. As for communities I have acted as support, co-leader, web designer, graphical designer, moderator, admin, co-ordinator and video manager for countless sites over many years in gaming.
I strongly disagree that we're a "Low quality clan" Our members definitely think different. We're productive, active daily (Unlike most of the other Destiny clans) And we have weekly gamenights and projects in the works constantly. So I don't think that makes us "Low quality." If you're talking about the aesthetics of the site being "low quality", that doesn't make a clan. It's the members and the friends you make that's important. And I actually think the site looks great IMO. It's good for you that you've had years of experience making websites and running clans. I don't. I only started this clan 6 months ago so I'm still learning new things.
The point that I am trying to make to people is that they shouldn't expect greatness and equality as you seem to boast. Rather there will probably be segregation between individuals and a lack in communication.
What makes us not show equality? The age limit? That's who we choose to play with, that's our personal decision and as I said before, if you don't like it don't join. There isn't segregation, that's just stupid. We all communicate on a daily basis through messages, private chats and online. We welcome very member and try to get them involved as possible. You're just making up lies now..
As for your point about enjin, numbers don't equal quality. Many people use it because it is easy, click and drag. Atrocious policies aside it is easy to garner yourself any individual of any caliber in web design on any sight. Try places like the Bnet, extra credits and such. The fact that you haven't done this shows a lack of motivation to do something great
People LOG-ON to Enjin because it's a place where PEOPLE want to be. Their isn't any bad policies, and the fact you're annoyed over the place where we host the site is ridiculous. I think because you're skilled at web design and that anybody that doesn't make their own website seems like a "slacker" to you. That's a silly opinion.
Also I did mention some good communities that are very kind and open to the community. The group "Guardians of Destiny" recently had a fundraiser for extra life raising thousands of dollars, what have you done or plan to do in likeness?
You say that like we're not welcoming, open or friendly. Which we are. You're acting like you expect people who run clans to run charity events. Guardians of Destiny is a group of some sort, not a clan. And the fact you think we have to live up to other groups doing charity events is moronic. (I supported that stream myself and played in it)

It appears that you seem to dislike my criticism I will end it for now as I have my results. I wish you the best of luck with your clan and its members and I do apologize for any inconvenience that I may have caused you here. However I will stand by my point that enjin has bad policies, one of the worst being that you cannot take any information stored in there data banks if you decide to leave (I had that issue when I used there services). If you care for any help with your clan or website I would be more than happy to help with it. And again, sorry for the trouble but I like to know ahead of time. Also I will be redacting my previous posts for now.

Well I dislike when you call us a bad clan, when many of our members enjoy being here. What results might they be? I still took note of what you said and will try improve on some of the things you said. We like Enjin, so I suppose we're fine on that front. Thanks for redacting the posts. If you're offering your help I would gladly take it.

Hey I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with Enjin. I actually like how easy the controls are to figure out. Though it probably isn't easy to make new controls, which something you probably didn't like about it. Which is your opinion and you can have it. But to address
It appears that you seem to dislike my criticism I will end it for now as I have my results.
. If you walk into a (any church but lets say) black (because a color is just a color for argument sake) church and yell that you think black churches aren't holy and that black people are nothing buy bullies and stupid, and expect them to react negatively to defend themselves. Then they do and you act justified because you were right. What i'm saying is if you do something to make someone to react in certain way don't hold it against them when they do. Very few people will take abuse and return love; and then they are called craven or worse. So, sorry you don't want to join us, best of luck finding a group to play Destiny with. No hard feels and if you see me out there then lets kill some fallen together. also *bump* :p
