Do any of you guys know a free animation program that I could download?
Adobe Flash costs money, and I don't really have the required things to pay for it online.. :/

Hey mede nederlandse animator, Free software for analog 2D animation: Monkey Jam http://monkeyjam.org/ (Just take pictures of hand drawn images and load the image sequence in monkey jam to time your "line test") Free software for digital 2D animation: ? Free software for CG animation: Blender Free software for 3D sculpting: Sculptris Free game engines: Unreal, Unity 2D game software for beginners: Game maker (it's dutch and you can make 2D animations with it too) If you are a student (like me), you can download professional software for free or very cheap. (Autodesk maya, Adobe AE etc.) I hope this helps

Wow thanks! This could be really useful to me in the future. I decided to start animating at a later time. I first will just draw. Animating is still a bit too hard for me.
-
I may start trying to animate too! Let us struggle together man
-
Well.. I haven't felt like drawing at all recently.. So yeah, animating won't happen for a long time.. Or ever. :p
-
Why not ever?
-
Dunno.. I just don't see myself making animations. But who knows? I hope I will.

Edited by Ttasmmv: 2/16/2014 8:06:57 PMHi H1TMaN, EasyToon is free, but limited to black and white. Still, you can achieve some impressive results. The above animation was made with EasyToon. There's also Pivot, which is simpler and might be easier to learn the basics of animation with. Plus, Pivot allows colours and transparent objects. Here's some Pivot animations in a community collaboration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PFJPg9BhSw. Those are the only two programs I know of, but I'm sure there's more (:_)

Wow thanks man! I already have Pivot, but I never heard of easytoon before. :]

Edited by salvucci91: 1/19/2014 2:34:25 PMThere was a free animation program that I was using a while back, but was extremely limited. Cannot think of it's name for the life of me. Basically, you're gonna have to invest in one at one point or another if you want to animate.

Hmm.. Well I guess I can wait for awhile. I'll just practice drawing. :] I think I'll wait when I can buy my own PC. I now use this one that everyone uses and it is filled with crap a lot. I organize my stuff though. But yeah, until then I'll just draw. :3

Edited by salvucci91: 1/19/2014 6:03:19 PMGood idea, man ! Mastering the human anatomy, among other things, really is such an integral part of animating, as much I wanted to believe otherwise in the past.

Yeah I think I will have much trouble at first figuring out how walking should works and the use of the arms and legs. Plus the head with facial emotions. I think it will be really hard. But I don't mind that, I will like and love it! Making my thoughts appear in movement! :D

Sorry bud. Unfortunately I'm no animator so I'm at a loss for this one. I would just suggest googling it or looking on art/animation boards to see if anyone can help there.

I tried googling but I can't find anything. And everyone recommends Adobe flash. :p Still thanks for trying to help! :D
