Too Long, Will Not Read: The Code of Conduct is being revised and made more discoverable. Be excellent to each other, or be struck by the Banhammer you will.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Very soon (perhaps even today), we launch an update for the Bungie.net forum. Our work will interrupt regular service for a moment or two (or an hour, if we need it).
Once the deed is done, our virtual landscape will appear very much the same - at a glance. Just beneath the surface, however, something terrible will be lurking with renewed strength. The Ninjas shall rise again and ascend to their former glory.
For over a thousand generations of Internet debate, the Ninjas were the guardians of peace and justice on the old forum. Their Banhammer will swing again.
You’ll still be able to Mute users that you would rather not hear from again and Report specific content that has no business being seen by the public. In both cases, the offending people and posts will vanish from your world view of the forum. If the Ninja has yet to notice those issues on their own, your input will activate them to judgment.
When content is deemed inappropriate by the Ninja, it will disappear completely, along with the person who created it. In the event that a user is banned (or warned) for poor conduct, they will know what they did to incur the wrath (or the mercy) of the Ninja. The identity of the Ninja will not be known, for the coming and going of the Ninja is not a thing that can be detected by mere mortals.
The revised terms of the Bungie.net Code of Conduct will be hard to miss. You’ll find it linked to the forum index. It will reinforce our time-honored values for respect and civility. We’ve always envisioned an ideal for Bungie.net as a place where you can be yourself, so long as you afford your neighbors the same courtesy. With these new changes, we’re taking a more aggressive posture in pursuing those ideals.
Play nice!

Higher frequency of bans seems much less important than higher frequency of moving topics.

Wow that was one year ago
-
I envy Ninjas. I want to be one +_+ lol I know I will be a dragon before Im a ninja
-
In lamest terms. Watch your shit and posts or Ninjas, aka some sort of moderator, will ban you.
-
Don't know if you saw my post earlier but I'm just going to say it again. Instead of this whole "ninjas rising up again" bullshit, why don't you actually use your brains and change the community to something else.
-
Bungie ninjas hate the word "Desticle."
-
They need to read this.
-
DeeJ why do people want to be ninjas so much
-
You know the internets only been around 46 years?
-
The chaos was fun while it lasted...now we can get rid of all these lfg'rs posting in the wrong forums. Right ninjas?

What if you're banned for "impersonating" yourself?
-
so long as you afford your neighbors the same courtesy
so we are supposed to be nice as they invade our other neighbors house?
-
Will you arrive in nyan and flannel?

Edited by Butane: 1/15/2014 7:03:56 PMIn case you people have forgotten, this forum operates under the same rules as the rest of the community. The Flood is not the law... I am the law. The Flood is a common criminal; guilty of murder, guilty of the manufacture and distribution of the bad content known as shit posting, and as of now under sentence of being banned. Any who obstruct me in carrying out my duty will be treated as an accessory to their crimes... you have been warned. And as for you Flood... judgement time. Edit: .... and I meant to post it in the offtopic thread. Oh well.

Can I please have a refund?

Things are rather heated on your new news update. This is a very touchy topic posted at a very crucial time. Now everyone who either or love/hate or just want to make Destiny better are getting very dark. Both sides. But sad to say too many that may have had constructive things to say that I may have or have not agreed with are turning that thread into something else. I don't place blame but Bungie you posted this with the knowledge of these outcries and I support Extra Life but I believe your timing may bring them support and it could also have negative effects. It is clear who wants to be of help and not. I suggest to close comments and leave info on website and how to contact sponsors and leave it at that for now. I just read all the code of conduct ban hammer stuff but dissing children, sick children, over a game that, yes did not meet my expectations as well (but I tried to remain positive on that thread), to them is either a disaster or whatever is a contradiction of said code. Maybe I'm over zealous, maybe this was a low distraction, everyone's entitled to their opinion but I will play the 25th and if I want to know more I'll go to extra life. The thread is fueling the flames. Not saying there was no good to come out of it. I've never donated to a charity till now. But I think the rest can speak for itself.

I guess I better stop trolling the trolls. It was fun while it lasted. But I guess now that the enforcers are doing something about it, I can relax.

Respect one another and have fun ;)
2.Disrespect based on race, creed...
So while religious discussions are still permitted, insulting one's religion or political beliefs is against the rules again? It's a step in the right direction, thanks for finally doing this much.

I love myself some tyranny. Just one question: Is Necro-bumping still legal?

HOW DOES ONE BECOME A NINJA?
-
Do you know where I can save that photo? It'd be awesome.

Edited by JFXBENGALS: 8/8/2014 12:51:28 PMWay to go. Perhaps I should stop hiding in community groups now the flood is overpowering.
