In case it affects what console you'll be using to play Destiny, there's a device called CronusMAX that let's Xbox 360 controllers work on PS3s, and PS3 controllers work on Xbox 360s.
Very recently, the company that makes CronusMAX announced support for the Xbox One console, Xbox One controller, and PS4 controller, with reassurances that PS4 console support was under developed.
I own one and love it since a good friend of mine in town owns a PS3 and we ending up playing BlackOps2 Zombies after watching football games. Instead of having to use the DS3, I can use the Xbox 360 controller! I've also tested Halo 4 with a DS3 controller. Neither configuration had any noticeable input lag. Also, the buttons are automatically mapped (i.e., pulling the Xbox 360's right trigger shoots the gun in BLOPS2 as opposed to pushing the DS3's R1) and are remapped as you'd expect them to using games' button layout options.

Edited by FairlySplendid: 1/15/2014 2:35:04 AMThe DS4 is actually pretty nice.

I detest the Xbox One bumpers, but I love DS4. If it actually works, I might get it sometime later on.

Seems to good to be true. Or legal matters in the future lol

What if I have an expensive keyboard and mouse?

I didn't think I'd have to bump this thread. Using your favorite controller on another console... c'mon!
