I've always liked nvidia. Never had any games that couldn't use the card well. I also go with intel so I prefer nvidia anyways due to integration.

I have an amd and I haven't experienced overheating, though my sessions rarely last longer than 2-3 hours

At the moment, AMD is dominating the gaming market as a company. But as for the actual hardware, Nvidia is wonderful.

NVIDIA The 660 GTX is probably the best value on the market right now, and it can play almost every game on max settings with a little tweaking.

A good card that is expensive vs a good card that is on fire... Difficult choice...

Edited by Ad Hoc: 1/13/2014 7:47:53 AMIf you want a top-of-the-line card, you've got to go Nvidia. The R9 series has some good high end cards, but they have overheating issues. Basically, if I'm buying a low to mid range card, I go AMD. If I'm buying something for $400+, it's Nvidia all the way.

One is expensive but good, one is cheap but overheats.
-
Nvidia, obviously.
