I need some recommendations for an easy to clean, reliable, and moderately powerful revolver that won't burn a hole in the average person's budget. Something that has a decent punch but won't break my wrist. Any recommendations?

Edited by Recon Number 54: 1/10/2014 5:20:28 AMK-Frame revolver in either .38 special or .357 Mag. Solid, reliable and if you get the .357 if can also use the .38 special ammo. Ruger, Taurus, S&W.

How cheap are you looking? Most pistols are in the $500 range. S&W makes some solid cheap revolvers, could get that in .38 and be set. Although I'ld suggest just taking that same money and getting a Glock 19 instead, depending on the reasons behind purchasing the weapon.

.38 S&W like most have said, but I wouldn't recommend a snub-nose. I would recommend one with a 4" or 6" barrel, but that's just me.

Better question, why do you want a revolver?

Like others have said, .38 special.

.38 special is the way to go! Powerful but easy to control, and VERY versatile :)

Any more recommendations?
