At this this moment in time we the community are unsure if there will be any melee weapons due to that fact that there hasn't been any footage of player held melee weapons, the only melee weapon we have seen was the hunters knife which hasn't really been categorized into any one set of weapons and is more or so just the "knife" like in COD games. However there is still hope since we have seen enemies such as the Fallen wielding energy sword like weapons. We can only hope and believe in Bungie ;)
