It seems we're getting pretty close to actual virtual reality. So far we've gotten to the stage of monkeys being able to "move" and "Feel" virtual objects. They don't need to move any body parts in real life to be able to move their virtual counterparts in the VR.
This could apply to work for many things from prosthetic limbs to gaming (the latter is what I really want to talk about). Do you think it's a remotely good idea? How long do you think until we have a true virtual reality game? What are the pros and cons?

Are you willing to get implants to be able to experience such a thing? The only way we could do so with our current knowledge would require surgery in regards to implants in the nervous system/brain. Is that really a great idea for video games?
