What if the DMR was a Bolt Action Rifle
This may seem like a crazy idea, but what if the DMR became a bolt action rifle in Halo 5. Same concept, same range, just with an added bolt action mechanism to prevent spam and lower the fire rate.

The whole point of it is to have a weapon that can be used like a sniper in an area that has multiple targets. It being semi would allow you to take them out faster and becasue of the weapon type it would allow to take them out in close range if needed. A blot action rifle is used for longer ranges while semi is for closer. You're going to have a hard time taking out 5 targets with a bolt action at 250-550 meters.
