So I just completed the first season of the walking dead game in one take and for the first time. Wow. I don't get fazed by much but this game really got to me. I'm an emotional wreck. I wanted to know what you thought of the game, characters and the story...
I've not played any of the second season so no spoilers about that. I... I seriously can't believe that ending...

Very good game. Does what it's meant to do very well and doesn't try to sell itself as anything else. If you haven't played 400 Days yet, play that. Then get season two.

Unfortunately some assholes had spoiled the ending for me, so it didn't have the same effect. Although I enjoyed the rest of it as nothing past the ending was spoiled.

The walking doge.

Chill out kid it wasn't that good. Lets just put aside the fact that the game has pretty much no gameplay, there still aren't very many good or likeable characters, the story isn't original and your choices don't actually mean much because everyone ends up dieing apart from a couple of bland, filler characters.

I shed a tear for the first time playing a game. Despite the naysayers picking at the poor interface and lack of story arcing from decisions, I feel this game was one of the best purchases in games I've made. Why? Because I don't just appreciate games that succeed in bringing in fresh game mechanics but those who pull off the mission of their game excellently. In this case immersing you in the story and making it personal. I felt the fatherly protection over Clementine. I was shocked when the sexy reporter (sorry Doug) who understands you was shot dead by the daughter of the cold hearted old man who hates you. My gut wrenched as I hacked a man's leg off. I felt rage after learning Ben's involvement in our misfortune. My heart sank taking in the fact my arm was bit (damn it! should have seen it coming). I made the tough call and wept as Clementine shook the gun to keep her safe from the last danger I couldn't protect her from... my self. It's not just doing something new that deserves praise but doing something well.

I'm sold. Keep hearing about this game.

It does an amazing job of hitting you where it hurts. After finishing it I went and told everybody to at least play the first episode.

Get season 2 then haven't tried it but thinking about is
