Some great games have opening areas or stages what just deter you from wanting to play the game as you have to through that shit to get to the good stuff.
Pic very related, I like KOTOR 2, but the opening area and the final area are just shit.

Edited by OmegaCircuit: 12/25/2013 7:56:48 AMI'd agree with KOTOR 2, but only for replays, since Peragus and Telos go on for way too long and have little variation. Halo 3 as well. In comparison to Pillar of Autumn, Cairo Station and even Dawn, Sierra 117 was really boring in my opinion. Also, Devil May Cry, which makes you go through a rather awkward platforming section to collect a bunch of orbs and a key before you even get to fight anything.
