So, I was working a shift tonight at work. When I was finished, I parked the utility vehicle back up in the barn and walked over to my timesheet.
Sat there on the worktop was a bag with a present inside it and a card for me. It was from my boss, and it was a big tin of Fox's Biscuits. How does this prove that capitalism is better than socialism? Because it felt good that my boss chose to give me a gift, out of his own charitable attitude. It wouldn't have felt so nice if he had to use his wealth to give me a state-mandated gift, now, would it?
Besides this, the fact that he was capable of using his profits to a generous end is indicative of the fundamentally damaging burden of excessive taxation, should the government require inordinate amount of funds to keep its unjustified the-poor-don't-need-to-work-for-what-they-get welfare state.

So basically as long as your under the bosses desk all day capitalism works for you.

This idea that unfettered capitalism trumps unfettered socialism or vice versa is such a ridiculous idea. The truth is that any economic system must be balanced. The US economy is capitalism with many socialist elements. These elements, such as government regulations and a social safety net, ensure the protection of the people when it is not in corporations interests to ensure those protections. Capitalism undoubtedly fuels innovation and economic growth, but unfettered capitalism is just as flawed as pure socialism.

So you're saying he gave you something for free? Like, he just gave you shit for nothing? Your boss sounds like a no good stinking commie.

Edited by cxkxr: 12/22/2013 8:35:24 PMA benefit of capitalism is that society would start interacting again, since there isn't a third party filling that void. "When formal govt is abolished, society begins to act" -I forgot

I know this is sort of a troll but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you changed your political beliefs once again.

Capitalism is good because it leaves us to our devices (90% of the time), which allows room for the bad in humanity, as well as the good.
