Equipable Melee Weapons...
Just think; electrified swords, vibro-axes, plasma spears, energy knuckledusters...
Imagine jousting on Pikes...
But the question is; Are these things viable game mechanics and if so will they be implemented?

8 RepliesI feel like blades of any type should be used via melee button, but be able to equip various types and upgrade them. I wouldn't want sword wielding in this type of game. Just my opinion.

Yes bring on the melee and beatdowns! Give us axes swords Katanas clubs and wield able fallen trees!

I think that a melee weapon (if used correctly) can be a very useful tool. When ever your back is against a wall and you are out of ammo a melee weapon can save your life.

Hand held weapons like swords would be cool but not to many of them cause then I think it will feel like skyrim or something, and the action futuristic feel will go away :s just my opinion :)

Deej tell me what you think. Well you know you have a primary a secondary and a heavy gun slot soooooo. Why couldnt they have a slot for melee somewhat like battlefield you hold the knife button to keep the knife (sword,dagger etc.) Up right in your hand to continuesly assinnate or stab your enemy. Just an idea, but your melee can have a perk tree like guns and you can collect diffrents types and looks like i said (daggers swords axes and or long swords or battle axes that take two hands etc). I think this is a pretty good idea tell me what u think u guys. Srry for the spelling ;)
