7 RepliesYou frikking serious? This movie was, at the best, a three star movie with sub par dialog, story, character development, and editing. The only things that saved it were the special effects, great acting, and awesome battle sequences. It was a fun popcorn movie, nothing else.

I didn't like it. Deviated way too much from the book. No characterization, Bilbo wasn't still acquiring his courage and becoming a BA(the whole theme of the book), he already was brave and a BA. Legolas was in the movie just for the sake of putting Legolas in the movie. And the inclusion of Tauriel was just superfluous.
