His performance as both Smaug and the Necromancer (a.k.a Sauron) were stunning. His voice had a powerful and demanding presence. Not only that, but I was also impressed by his performances in other movies. But for some odd reason he's always voicing or acting as the antagonist.
Any opinions on his performance as Smaug?

Heavily touched up in post-production but his delivery was great. I love that Freeman and Cumberbatch have come so far since Sherlock. I still remember seeing Freeman for the first time in The Office UK years and years ago.
