I like Windows 7 a lot but I feel like it's time to move on. I think Windows 8 looks really nice and vibrant but I've heard not everyone's keen on it. Can I hear some pros and cons?

Don't you mean "Downgrade"?

Edited by TomoK12: 12/10/2013 9:27:06 PMI really don't care about the metro stuff in Windows 8, but it is WAY faster than Windows 7. It lags and freezes way less often than Windows 7 does. The speed improvement is enough for me to love it.

I have 8.1 and I love it!

It's...difficult to adjust to, but the fact that it's faster (~15 second boot-up time on my desktop) and uses less resources was reason enough for me to upgrade. Warning: Do NOT get Windows 8.1.

Should you get circumcised at the age of 40?
-
Yeah do it, it's more or less the same if you use the desktop mode the most
-
Pros: The actual OS is faster than 7 and uses less resources. Cons: The UI is really weird.
-
Pros: it's... Tolerable if your device is touchscreen only I guess Cons: Everything else

Don't get 8, 7 is much better and more customizable, if you get 8, don't get 8.1, it crashes my tablet sometimes and it's super glitchy.
-
To be honest there's not a huge difference.
-
But you have no need to upgrade. Especially if you don't have a touchscreen monitor.
-
Is your computer a touch screen?
-
No. Windows 8 sucks balls.

I got a Windows 8 laptop and was very confused. It takes a while to adjust to. I'm not aware of any considerable pros.
