I rarely studied in high school so I didn't really pick up any studying habits. Now that I'm in Uni though, I'm started doing a bunch of different things.
For courses relying heavy on memorization (Psych) I basically just rewrite my notes in condensed form. Then go through the textbook and get anything I missed in the lecture. Then basically reread said notes until it sticks into my mind, while testing my knowledge through short quizzes at certain intervals.
For math related courses I do the same thing, but also add the types of questions that could be asked on a test, with an explanation of how to do them. I then try to do as many questions as I possibly can, to stick the process in my mind.
For my language course I use a flashcard program (Anki) for vocab. For grammer structure I tend to vocalize it and try to create sentences using the words I know. For kanji (taking japanese) I also use the flashcard program, but also practice writing the kanji out too.
What do you do?

hella practice problems until the shit hits the fan, then I get out my notes for help. Repeat until I no longer need notes or become covered in shit.
