Ok, so I was playing with my friend and her daughter and she wouldn't stop hitting her head on things. I felt so bad I just held her there until she didn't fell like crawling into things. I ♡ her so much!
Anyway, I was sitting there and I remembered how I wore dresses for a straight year when I was 7 lol.
So, if you had any childhood habits or anything like that and if you feel like sharing, um share? Please :)

Edited by Ad Hoc: 12/7/2013 9:58:49 PMFort building. That's not really a habit, but I did it a lot. I lived on a farm until I was 18, so there were tons of places to do it. Until I was 10 or so, 1/2 of our house was unlivable. The floors were rotting and there was no electricity, so we lived in the half that was modernized and in good condition. That was awesome for me, because my friends and I had half a house to ourselves. We'd bring chairs and tables back there, tvs, etc, and play Pokemon. We didn't really build it, but it was an awesome fort nonetheless. I also built a really shitty tree house out near the horse pasture. It had no walls or roof, just a floor that was kept up there by baling twine. And there was another one -probably my favorite- that was in our storage room. It was totally concealed beneath old mattresses, boxes, and furniture. Noone would have known it was there if I didn't tell them. The entrance was a long box that you opened and crawled down. Inside was an open area with my TV, Ps2, and N64. Oh god, it was amazing. Other forts included hollowed out piles of hay bales, swampy groves, etc, but those weren't as cool.

Biting my fingertips/Peeling and eating Scabs :L Since middle school I've always been biting and chewing on the ends of my fingers. At one point it got so bad that both my hands were constantly bleeding... I remember one particularly painful woodwork lesson, where I got sawdust in the cracks and sores... That was not very fun. I'm not too bad for it now, but I still bite them now and then.

Tiptoeing while carrying things for extra balance. Pretending the color of flooring and furniture made it into that terrain. Stuff like that. Not a habit, but more a devilish quirk I still have. I'll take something small from someone (like a pencil) and enjoy seeing how long it takes them to first notice it's missing, then figure out I took it, and finally see how long I can keep it hidden.

I made a game of not stepping on cracks while walking on sidewalks.

I would, and still do, explore a lot, even without telling someone I was leaving. I just expected people to understand that I was on an adventure. I also would burn ants with a magnifying glass.

breathing. it's a hard habit to break.
-
Chewed my nails. Chewed my lips(still do) One time I found out I could blow bubbles with my spit so ended up doing that for like 2 months.
-
Was obsessed with smelling things. Clothes, doors, other people, the cat; anything I could get my hands on was eligible for a smell-test.
-
Used to make bows and arrows out of tree branches (Used to carve them). They really worked too!

Edited by CICEM Rep: 12/4/2013 4:51:13 AMI used to make couch forts or build one on the floor which is usually stools and a large blanket. I actually made one under my tv once.

Edited by Stalwart: 12/4/2013 6:03:05 PMI was a nose picker. who wasn't? Also a chronic sleep walker. I'd run around naked, end up in the basement, unable to recognize my own mom, asking where the time machine was. SOOOO glad that's over.

Pretend I'm something in video games

I used to called my little sister "Valaya" because her actual name seemed hard to pronounce. I also named my pet beagle "Rambal", when I really wanted to call him Rambo.
-
Nothing really, I don't do anything that I used to do when I was a lot younger.
Oh wait, easily irritating people, that still comes naturally.
Skinning cats....still do to this day.

You know how some people have a "tick" when the concentrate? Such as sticking their tongue out or squinting? Well, I got gifted with bunching up my lips under my nose so I looked like a pig whenever I was doing math haha! (The sad part is, if I'm tired and trying to work on something extremely difficult, I'll start to do it again)

I used to wear a batman beyond costume all the time, one of the ears bent and it was adorable. I also used to try to put things in my pp hole :D
