You know that "Thanks, Obama" meme?
You'd be surprised about how many people actually take it seriously and blame Obama for mundane things that he has no control over. Just found this tidbit on Facebook, and the posts that reply to this, priceless. Here was one that made me laugh:

So, in your area, do people actually take memes such as the "Thanks, Obama" meme seriously? Same thing with the foreveralone, beta, 2spooky, etc.?

None of my friends take it seriously. Maybe you're just interacting with dumb people? Eh. I did seriously blame Obama for me being out of tea the other day, though. Thanks, Obama.
