Will vanguard be a class?
If not tell me what you think it will be.

I think the vanguard is Bungie's team of content designers. They would announce new content like new public or special events every week or so while the game is out.

Vanguard is an elite group in the game not a class, you get special stuff for being in this elite group. It is not a group here on Bungie.net it's a group in the game itself.

If you played skyrim you would understand what i'm about to say. The Dark brotherhood and the thiefs guild story line, a secret order. That's what i think the Vanguards are.

Vanguard is not a class and based on the name would appear to be a group of guardians leading some sort of fight.

Bungie has confirmed there are only 3 classes. The Vanguard represent something else. Could be lore or story-based, could be none-playable characters, could be a title you earn, etc...
