I need to install something on a small netbook that's a few years old that I'll be selling to someone. It originally came with XP, but with support dropping very soon, I'd rather not install that for security reasons.
The OS has to accommodate an XP-era Atom processor with I believe 1GB of RAM. I had Puppy Linux installed on it once and that worked pretty well. JoliOS was alright.
I've tried installing Chromium OS, but it seems support for Aspire Ones' is limited.
Any help? I need a lightweight, user-friendly OS for a total computer noob.

Edited by Ad Hoc: 11/18/2013 7:41:34 PMInstall Lubuntu. I'm using it on my shitty netbook, and it works great. WARNING: DO NOT listen to people who say Ubuntu. Trust me, it does not run well on older netbooks. I tried it. Lubuntu doesn't look quite as nice, but once you customize it a bit, it's not bad.
