Seriously I've had countless amounts of occasions in Halo were it became impossible to play. Something like ODST, the checkpoints in that game were perfect. Wether it was after I killed a group of covenant or when I just found a supply cache the checkpoints couldn't have been better.
Edit: For checkpoint problems they should make some sort of system that if you die over 7 or some random number amount of times immediately after a checkpoint, it asks you if you want to restart to the previous checkpoint.

I think it has just been confirmed in Game Informer or a weekly update. Can't remember.

True, but I have more of a problem with that on assassins creed where there is no "save game" button. But yeah, it would be nice to have better placed checkpoints. But not more of them. More of them would make it to easy.

I'm pretty sure that you'll have to spawn somewhere if you die unless you get revived by a teammate.
-
Probably manual save

Even if they don't add more checkpoints, they should at least troubleshoot them more than they did in Halo Reach. Those we're usually fine, but at one point in Long Night Of Solace, it gave me a checkpoint just as my ship blew up, causing me to die again and again every time it reloaded the checkpoint. As long as they can avoid glitches like that, I'm good as far as checkpoints are concerned.

Who said there be check points . What probably happens is that if die and your partner not there to help, you get respawn inside your nearby faction base.

BEGINNING TRANSMISSION: (Low melodious hum.) No, it would be to easy. ENDING TRANSMISSION:

Halo already had a system where if you were stuck at a checkpoint, it would rollback to a previous one. Assuming Destiny has anything like checkpoints, I'm sure they'll be great.
-
I tried mang. I tried.
-
I've heard a lot of complaints about halo checkpoints but never experienced them myself. I'm sure Destiny's will be OK.
-
This is already implemented in halo.

Wow did so many people mute me that nobody can see this?

I shit you not I believe such a system was in halo one, i remember after failing so many times after a checkpoint it sent us back one prior. However being an Multiplayer RPG I dobt checkpoints will reset your game. Cause its built to be online, and tend to except death, just by a normal respawn.

Kind of like, if you some how fak yourself in a tight spot and cannot battle your way out, after so many deaths it sends you back to an earlier check point and not the one you fak'ed yourself one. I would agree to this.
