There's a few changes/inclusions to the API which would be great to have. 1. Aggregated notifications for likes and replies have the aggregation count embedded within a string of HTML, which is a little cumbersome to get to (and kind of runs contrary to using a template, IMO). 2. There isn't any information about the topic (id or title) a notification relates to. 3. Notifications of replies contain a substring of the reply (or latest reply when aggregated), but not of what the reply is in response to (ie. my own post). The way this is currently used when it's displayed should be enough of an example of why it's an issue:[quote]3 replies to your post [i]Example post text which I did not post...[/i][/quote] 4. More of a query, but I can't figure out why notifications of messages are included as notifications (at least when they're displayed under the notifications menu) when you can't do anything with them under that menu. We're already getting notifications via the badge over the envelope, which is where they're useful/appropriate.
