(It is well into November the 9th here).
9 years ago, I was playing the game split screen on a CRT TV.

9 years ago, my dad went to the midnight release by himself. For one rare moment, both him and I were excited about the same thing. I woke up that morning and saw the Halo 2 Limited Edition case on the table. Needless to say, I was quite giddy. I was 13 years old at the time, and the school day couldn't end quick enough. Once we were both home, we sat down together and played through campaign. We beat it in two sittings. We loved every moment of the game...except the ending. Boy, we hated that ending. A few weeks later, a few folks at my dad's work convinced him to get this thing called Xbox Live so he could join their clan. Their softball team was a complete failure, so hey, why not Halo 2 instead? My dad broke down and got XBL, making his gamertag and offering me the opportunity to create my own. He became Ghostslayr. I became SteelAssassn. Later on, I came across people online with "bungie.net" embedded next to their name. I inquired, they answered...and I made my first account on bungie.net; "SteelAssassn." ......... ... ... I proceeded to forget all login information for that account, and created "Im SteelAssassn." In any case, Bungie.net was my first introduction to an internet community. And frankly, it's been my only consistent community. And here I am, 9 years later. Still fooling around on this site. Still a Bungie fan. Forgotten or unknown by most, but nonetheless, present.
