2 RepliesI find it odd that it took until the storm making landfall for this to get into the news over here. That aside, I think this may have been the strongest tropical system to make landfall since we started tracking tropical systems. Hell one of the readings I saw had it at 8.1 on a scale that only goes up to 8.
