I remember about two years ago that the Metropolitan Police, based in London, made a statement detailing about the fact that any information regarding suspected Anarchists should be reported.
I would like to detail a few things about "Anarchy", or more specifically, Anarchism so people don't spread and use utter misinformation in the formation of their opinions. This is purely in ideological terms, the practical application is another discussion. Anarchy does not, in the political sense, equal a state of chaos, lawlessness or disorder. Anarchy does not entail a lack of infrastructure. Anarchy is anti-capitalism - anarcho-capitalism is an oxymoron.

Whilst Anarchy itself might not be a disorganised/violent political system Anarchists generally are. They are the sort of people to burn down buildings and post letter bombs. So yes an anarchist in that sense should be reported to the police. However someone who just likes the ideology isn't a threat to anyone and so reporting that would be a waste of police time.
