The multiplayer footage offers a minute-long look at the next-gen Killzone and requires a 541 MB download. The Killzone website is understandably slower due to the stress that comes from distributing a half-gigabyte video file, so give it some time.
Just throwing this out there, but for a console game, the new Killzone game, graphically, doesn't look all too bad, and it seems like it plays pretty solid from we've seen.
Anyways the video's done downloading for me (thank you 80 down Internet speeds), so I'm going to take a look at this footage right now.
Just got done watching it, and I have to say, it looks REALLY good and plays super fluid. Good job Guerilla Games.
-
But the multiplayer runs at 720p.
-
Will this look as good on an iPod Touch? This thing does seem to have an incredibly sharp screen and smooth refresh rate.
-
Behold the sexy death animations. dem bullet-hit physics
-
It's the most "next-gen looking" game out of all the launch titles. Would put Forza up there, too.
-
Looks like a sci fi cod with better frame rate. Don't see much of anything special here.
-
Damn that's sexy, makes me want to get a PS4 right now.
-
there's a peculiar lump in my pants. where did it come from
-
I'm going to download this overnight, I hope it's as good as it seems >:3
-
lolkillzone
-
290/254 MBps. Good ol' college interwebs. Anyway, the game looks gorgeous. Is there something like this for Forza as well?

Edited by Ttasmmv: 11/5/2013 3:01:15 AMThe modern first-person shooter wants its player to feel like a skilled, lethal military soldier. It will provide players with wall-hacks, slow-motion, regenerating health, helpful bots, aim-assistance, and slow, unintelligible targets to further this facade. Who would want to play this, and why do those trees sway so much? Play Quake Live! Edit: you can determine that it plays "super fluid" from a video? The other Killzone games suffered from high latency in the controls, I wouldn't be surprised if the trend continued.
-
When I finally pick up a ps4 this year I am looking forward to playing it. Haven't played KZ since the first one
-
It looks good but the gameplay that I got to play felt very dull tbh.
-
I'm gonna be honest, they look retarded when running, also, I don't see what the big whoop is from this console generation from the last one, I don't see anything new or awe-sighting. Or is it just me?
-
Edited by iGraviton: 11/5/2013 1:38:48 AMScreen-capped this from the video. (Direct Link for full resolution) I must admit, even as a PC gamer, the visual fidelity GG is bringing to the table with Killzone is pretty impressive.
-
daaanng. smooth as fricking butter.
-
Looks good. Don't know if I'll pick it up though.
-
Looks just as boring to me as it's predecessors did... Don't get me wrong, it looks pretty, but the first two games bored me to death. The writing is shit, and the whole premise of the series is overplayed in most every sci-fi novels I have read. It just looks... boring. When I get a PS 4 (which I will eventually, in the distant future), this is definitely one game that I will be skipping entirely.
-
Have a gigabyte for a minute of footage....
-
Game looks pretty, but it looks like another typical bro-tier shootan game. Not surprising.
-
it speaks to me..
-
Damn that's gorgeous.
-
for a console game, the new Killzone game, graphically, doesn't look all too bad
So it just looks pretty darn bad?
-
Edited by Symmetry: 11/5/2013 3:34:02 AMIt looks like -blam!- in terms of gameplay.
-
So ready for this.
-
In terms of gameplay, its still just as mediocre as ever.
