A Universe Destined to our ears... But never cat ears.

First off, some of you may know (By that I mean nobody) I sometimes post about Destiny and my personal ideas and such, without trying to run into hate and arguments, but just have a nice conversation about legitimate ideas. I haven't done much, but I plan on starting to do so more often. More can be found here. Only if you are interested. Anyway, Since it has been a while, I figured since the show for Video Games Live lovingly provided beautiful music, I should start with that. Marty & Michael have always impressed me with their work, there is no one greater than the two of them when it comes to music, in my opinion. Marathon is the oldest Bungie title I have played, and the catchy tunes will just stick immediately in my head, and it's always something positive. Destiny already has an outstanding bit of work done with it, and the gameplay reveal is still jumping into my head at random. Destiny feels like it is going to be a game where music plays a big part in the story, just like Halo has. I know it won't lack any aspect of amazement. One thing I have felt about Marty though, is that I feel he isn't just creating music for Halo, Destiny, or anything, he makes it for the feeling and the environment. I can listen to the music and feel the image he is trying to give it. It is clearly demonstrated in ODST, he want's a more lonely, depressing environment because that's kind of where the Rookie starts, alone in the rain. The soundtrack's Overture song even has rain at the beginning, so you can tell it is a more sad piece. But back to Destiny, The whole sad piece hasn't really been shown to me, you can hear the action, the hope, and curiosity inside his work for Destiny, but, no sadness. I find it a little odd honestly, in a time where we are on the brink of extinction, you give only hope and bravery? To me that is truly a different way to take on a game, and perhaps a good way, I personally think that Bungie is always outdoing everyone, and most of all, The music will Never disappoint, whether it does sound like a sad and stormy night, or encourages the turning point for humanity to stand strong. ------- Let me know what you think about The music so far, because I know pretty much everyone loves it, and I am curious as to what others have to say about it. Edit: For those of you who haven't watched VGL, the Destiny music played can be heard over there. ---> Yes, here.
