Israel Strikes in Syria For the Fifth Time Since 2011

It appears Israel took out another missile shipment to Hezbollah either yesterday or today. Like the title states, this is the fifth time Israel has launched an airstrike in Syria to take out arms shipments headed for Hezbollah.

1 ReplyOnly 5 airstrikes in 3 years? Considering the amount of air-to-ground whoop-ass Israel has dropped on threats, that's a hell of a lot of restraint.

1 ReplyI think its good that Syria is interdicting missile shipments such as those, if those terrorists get there hands on Russian air to air missiles like the S-300 or any in that class for that matter, everyone is going to have a problem. As for what they have been doing for the past 3 years, it is nothing new and doesn't surprise me at all, it certainly helps them stay safer.

Unsure. On one hand, it's easy to continue to condemn Israel's, actions, but on the other and after looking at the circumstances, you can understand why.

Well, I'm far from Israel's friend, but this seems like a sensible strategy. Low collateral damage is a bonus, it's not being plastered all over the news as a tragedy and it works out as a containment strategy to prevent excessive violence spilling over into other countries. They're preventing strikes on themselves and indirectly Lebanon without getting involved in Syria. That's good. Makes it look like Assad's regime couldn't prevent an Israeli attack if they tried and that it's only Israel's disinterest that's preventing further involvement in the civil war. The people who are going to rage about Israeli invasions of Syrian airspace are mostly crazies anyway. So, yes, good job Israel and may these events continue to be low key.
