I am suffering from an acne breakout right now, and I absolutely hate it. I have a few large, red, unsightly blemishes and a shit-ton of smaller ones. Anyone know any fast ways to get rid of these? I'm using Proactiv right now, but that takes a while for results to show.

I also heard shaving regularly helps, just in case anyone has the same problem as I do.

Sandpaper.

The only solution is to rip off your face.

The tip where you put a clean towel on your pillow each night is nonsense. Just clean your sheets regularly and wash your face. Buy a facial wash and use it when you wake up and go to sleep. You can also wash your face with hand soap whenever you wash your hands after using the bathroom. If frequent cleaning doesn't help you can see a dermatologist. Don't pick at them, and if you do pop them make sure you thoroughly wash your hands and face before and after. Rinse with cold water to help close pores.

They say you grow out of it. I don't know who "they" are, but they're lying assholes.

I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but ignoring it is the best prescription. That, and having good hygiene.

I tried proactive for a while, but it just dried out my skin and made it flake. It was no bueno. I'd say drink a lot of water each day and use a clean new sheet over your pillow each night. Also, if you happen to touch your face quite a bit, avoid doing that.

Try washing your face and use this stuff called Asepcia that can be found in your local Walgreens. Buy the liquid, not the bar of soap. It'll burn like hell using it, but it gets the job done.

Lemon juice and honey

Get some bleach, drink it. Wait for the pain to go away.

You get acne when you don't wash your face. Solution: wash your face.

Edited by Jaaake AU: 10/30/2013 1:41:36 AMWash your face when you wake up and when you go to bed. Wash your bed sheets weekly. Don't touch your face. Drink lots of water and lay off the junk. Bam. (I used to suffer from it as a teenager).

Wash your face in the morning with warm water and when you go to bed. Wash your pillow (or whatever you lay your head on),

Try and ice them, sleep with a towel over your pillow, only drink water, get plenty of rest.

Have you tried amputation?

Buy a bottle of aspirin, and some Aloe vera gel. Any brand should do(I usually use whatever's the cheapest, so I assume any is fine lol). Crush the aspirin tablets until you're left with nothing but powder, and mix with a lil bit of the gel. Apply on the areas affected, and it usually stops the blemishes from getting any worse. They're usually less visible in a couple of days or so. It might depend on your skin type though, not sure but hope this helps :)
