Destiny is a rip off.
At least Halo was [i]original[/i]. Destiny is literally just a combination of every single big name game out there right now. It literally Elder scrolls: Halo black ops shadow fall start of the wolfenstein and every game I havnt mentioned.
But in all seriousness, it really is just a mix of everything already out there and that's a huge disappointment.

BETA isn't even out yet and the amount of info out doesn't allow anyone to make this conclusion. The concept has it's originality, the the fact that this is going to be a next gen console game makes it original. It takes the best of what we have loved over the years and created a unique blend of it, why complain?

Not really . Just game mechanics. You can't really call that ripping things off. As long as the story and mythos is different you can't really say there ripping it off . Plus Bungie made both games . Ever thought the reason it seems to be a "mix" of all those things is because they have certain elements that a lot of people like? Not to mention the game is going to exist after some other similar art did. That doesn't mean it's a rip-off, it just means that Bungie is hitting the nail on the head by making a game that incorporates a lot of different themes into one piece. That's actually hard to do. Drawing all the cool things from different place and turning them into one coherent shape is actually really cool... why wouldn't you want to play a game that had all your favorite concepts? "Quick, call the Mayor! Photorealist painters are destroying art! My god, they're destroying reality too!"

It's also a rip off of LIFE because they speak English. And they have multilingual support, so they're copying off of the ENTIRE WORLD. I mean, come on Bungie!!

I can't lie about it tbh. I don't get that same excitement or enthusiasm I did with the Halo games for example. Maybe one day if I get a xbox one or PS4 a year or two from now I'll try destiny but it won't be 'the one' like Halo 1-3 were for me where it was literally the only game in my disc tray 99% of the time.

2 RepliesEvery first person shooter resembles another, every mmo use the same layout my point all games have a foundation, some things cant be avoided now bungie and activision are combining these foundations to create something new, this is original their story line isnt a copy. All i see is a mmofps, of course it has these things you mentioned because like i said before these are things we want in a game and its amazing, #dontkillthevibe
