So I just finished Code Geass, and man was that intense. I have never been more satisfied with an anime before. I mean Attack on Titan and Death Note are good, but this was just a whole other level. So I ask you now Flood did you enjoy Code Geass? Also what are your favorites? (Also any recommendations would be nice)
Edit: Ok so I've heard a lot of SAO, Gurren Lagaan, and Angel Beats, so I'll start watching those now. And ok has anyone seen Gantz or Deadman Wonderland, because I heard they were really good but I just cannot get into at all. Like I stopped on episode 3 of Gantz and episode 1 on DW. I just can't get into them. Also is Black Butler good?
Also ok Zero(Code Geass) vs Kira(Death Note). Go.

I liked Code Geass, but I thought it was meh. I really hated the character design of the show too. As for my favorites: Haibane Renmei, Shinsekai yori, Usagi Drop.
-
You're definitely right that Code Geass is the best <3
-
I'm trying to like anime, but I can't find Gundam UC anywhere.
-
Yeah, Code Geass is fantastic. My favourite anime. Not going to recommend because there are plenty of sites you can look for recommendations already.
-
I cannot watch any series for much longer than 15 episodes before nothing makes sense.

Edited by Big Boss : 10/30/2013 5:33:22 PMGURREN LAGANN Seriously it's amazing. The whole show is ridulously over the top and you will be singing ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH in yor head for days.

SPICE AND WOLF, WHERE IS SEASON 3! where...where are you! (also best anime artwork you will ever see, just watch one episode and disagree afterward)
-
I don't know if you call this anime but... here's RWBY
-
can anyone recommend Evangelion to someone relatively ''new'' to anime.
-
A long time ago I watched Code Geass. All I can remember is Lelouch yelling a lot and some green haired girl that loved pizza.
-
Anime is for fat loser nerds who have no life and will be perma-virgins
-
My personal favorites are: Angel Beats! Mirai Nikki Clannad (After Story included) I just finished the first few episodes of Log Horizon, so far it seems VERY similar to SAO although with a slightly worse start. So it is really good I just hope it doesn't tank after 5 episodes like SAO did. I'm open to suggestions if anyone is willing.

Edited by Magikarp666: 10/29/2013 6:38:46 AMI really liked Code Geass, however, the fanservice in the second season got a little out of hand for my tastes (I actually do like fanservice at the right times, but they kept showing it at the wrong times). Also, the feeling of strategic victories for Lelouch, pretty much the reason why I liked the first season, was lost a bit. It seemed more based on "Their Knightmare is better than ours, we must retreat" rather than strategy, which is a shame because it was one of the highlights of the first season. Also, there was that whole Rolo nonesense... I really disliked Rolo. Anyways, the ending was done superbly, which is probably why it left such a lasting effect on you. It's definitely a solid anime. Anyways, for suggestions of shows I like? Well, Fate/Zero is probably one of my all time favorite animes... Anyways, if you plan to watch that, watch it, then read the Visual Novel of Fate/Stay Night (or wait for the new anime adaptation for the Heaven's Feel Route), because Fate/Stay Night is rather sub-par compared to Fate/Zero. I could probably suggest more, but that anime seems very fitting for the three shows you said you liked (SNK, Death Note, and CG). Also, watch Free! #swimminganime

Code Geass was awesome. Sucked what ended up happening to Lelouch though. Any way, I just finished Gintama(and haganai a bit before that) and am looking for something else to watch at the moment. I tried slayers and One piece but couldn't get more than 20 episodes in to either.
So I ask you now Flood did you enjoy Code Geass?
Yes, got the first season on DVD, never got around to getting Season 2 though.
Also what are your favorites?
My number one favorite is a tie between Amagami SS and Evangelion. If you like Code Geass than you'll LOVE Evangelion.
-
You should watch Fate Zero next!
-
I liked it.
-

The ending was pretty awesome! FLCL, FMA: Brotherhood, Eureka Seven, Evangelion, and Big O all had some of my favorite endings... They to me were the most satisfactory endings in my opinion...
-
I just finished Steins;Gate. That's definitely one of my favorites, and the dub is one of the best I've ever heard. Code Geass was good, too. Not one of my favorites, but I'm glad I watched it. Other favorites include (but aren't limited to): The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Gurren Lagann, Spice and Wolf, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Fate/Zero
-
Some of my favorites are Angel Beats, Attack on Titan, Gurren Lagann, Watamote, and Full Metal Alchemist. I'm currently watching Gurren Lagann, Watamote, KILL la KILL, Madoka Magica, Maoyuu, and Spice and Wolf. I have a problem where I start an anime, but can never finish it. In the case of FMA, I was half way through the series when Netflix took it down. Bastards.

Edited by Alphy : 10/28/2013 1:02:40 AMI just recently finished an anime, about a day or two ago. I didn't cry, like I usually do, but it was mainly comedy. I started watching a new one today.
