I was just wondering, as there are new cards coming out left and right these days. Do you keep up with the releases? Do you only upgrade once in a while, etc.

Interesting. I'm sure there are maniacs somewhere who try to keep up with all the new stuff though...

My system is approaching it's first birthday and I haven't had any need to even think about upgrading.

In an off-year, I might get a cheaper one-time upgrade like more RAM or a new CPU heatsink for the sake of overclocking. But I'm getting a 7970 for Christmas, so I won't need to upgrade again for a while.

I probably upgrade every 4 years or so and not even every component...

I have not upgraded my system since 2011. And since it still works like a beast and plays EVE well, no plans to upgrade anytime soon.

Uhh, well there was about a 10 year interval between my last build and my current one. I know that some people upgrade more often though depending on their level of income and how badly they want to be up to date on the newest hardware.
