I'm informed that regular y-axis setups are the norm now; this comes as a bit of a shock to me. I'm interested in when the regular y-axis became the norm and whether it's a generational thing. Sixth Gen or earlier: Your first console was the original xBOX, PS2, Dreamcast, N64 or earlier. Seventh Gen onwards: Your first console was the XB360, PS3, Nintedo DS, Wii, PSP or later. Begin!

  • People these days don't play as many Airplane Simulators as they used to. The entire "hah hah the controls are just like the yoke of a plane!" thing is novel and something that is definitely not that hard to adjust to if you had to, I think the standard "up is up, left is left" control scheme is way more intuitive to beginning gamers who ultimately become veteran gamers.

Do you really play FPS' in Inverted? That seems like a really silly thing to do. (I don't look down in real life and my gun moves upwards.) I play Airplane games inverted and that's about it.
