I'n having fun replaying Halo 3 now, but sadly only the Team slayer playlists and Lone wolves are habitable.
I saw one of those old message things come up while I was waiting for a game that said something along the lines of "modded content in your file share will get you banned. www.Bungie.net/ban"
Well, Bungie doesn't dish out bans for Halo 3 anymore and would 343 even bother?
*runs to upload modded things before realizing I didn't have any saved*
Anyway, discuss your fun times with Halo 3 lately if you've been playing it.

I wish I was playing it
-
I was playing earlier. :D Do I still have you on XBL? >_> There was absolutely no-one in Action Sack... How the mighty have fallen. :'(

Are aussie lobbies frequent? Or is it still a red bar lagfest

Had a nostalgia night of MM fun. Visited maps that I had not been on in much too long... and I didn't realize how much I missed Halo 3 until all those kick-ass memories started flooding back. I found myself playing Halo 3, and longing for the population to be higher so that it would be like it once was. Sadly, the SWAT population was at zero all night (well, it was at 1, I was there in the lobby lol)... I was really looking forward to that. But just playing it again brought about a sense of longing for times past, and the sorrow that such a game, such a nigh perfect matchmaking experience and sublimely well built maps; will one day have a population so low that they just say "it's done". ... Yes, sometimes I put in the Halo 2 disc and go into matchmaking when I'm feeling very nostalgic and depressed. I remember those days of laughter and great matches with a fondness as fierce as I do with Halo 3. Obviously it never connects with anything, but for thirty seconds as H2 searches for the old version of LIVE, I get the flashback to when it was in it's heyday. All from just the sight of the MM screen for each of these games. --------- But back to Halo 3; it took me a bit to readjust to the controls and the way the game plays, so I didn't do so well last night, but there was much fun had. I had an amazing time, and I know that I'll definitely be increasing Halo 3 and Reach time in my game rotation. I love Halo 3 and Halo: Reach. Easily two of the greatest games I have ever played, and that opinion spans across 30+ years of pretty hardcore Gaming. Well done, Bungie. A job well done indeed.

343 tinkers with the counters to make Halo 4 seem better. Also, did you see the Halo 4 advertising message they added to the main menu?

I'm playing a better game and its called GTA 5.

Edited by halo: 10/17/2013 5:31:02 PMI'm having no problem finding games in Social Slayer, but that playlist sucks anyway. Is it easy to find games in low level TS? It's taking me a little while to find games and I think it has to do with my level. I want to start a new account so I can find games quicker.

Edited by The Dark Hadou: 10/17/2013 11:33:40 PMEven before it became free I had no trouble finding games in LW, TS, TD, SS and BTB. I'd expect those 5 playlists to have even more people in now than they did already. I haven't ever really stopped playing H3 since release and still have as much fun with it is as I ever did.
-
I managed to get a 45 in Lone Wolves the day before the game became free, so that was cool. Since then I've been enjoying some Social with a few friends.

I miss when I could go on custom games with a load of random people I've met on match making and play infection on brilliantly forged maps :'( such a good time of my life. Was like 12 with out a care in the world. Nohomo DenseGem4934882 - add me if you're lonely and want to play some infection... *cries into pillow*

Been trying to get into Team Swat for about 5 minutes now. 4 people joined then we had to reset search. This has happened about 6 times.

Edited by Elrond Hubbard: 10/17/2013 1:08:45 PMI've read this in other posts that the player counters are broken, and it's true. I tested this theory last night on the Big Team Battle playlist, because it said 0 people were playing. Found players within 10 seconds.
-
I love halo 3, it could just use more
Arbiter levels. JK, #Gaming
When I was playing a few months ago the only playlist that had people playing in it were SS and BTB. I was watching some Twitch yesterday and it seems the MLG playlist right now is just filled with professional gamers and I'm not in the mood to get -blam!- a lot.
-
I would be playing Halo 3 but I just know I'm going to be teamed up with randoms who just give the opposing team the power weapons, so it prevents me from going on it.
-
I did a custom game with a few people last night, it was the most fun I've had with my Xbox in recent months.
-
Started it up again. It's 50/50 whether I get a game with no lag at all or around 1 second for melee/grenades, but damn is it still fun. Might finish ODST on Legendary now as well.
-
Well as I said in another H3 thread I never stopped playing. Been with the game since day 1 on midnight release and still am going at it. This weekend will be great with the extra players. I got to 5 Star on my main account a long time ago and about to hit 3 Star on this one. Thats my goal during the time Halo 3 has more players.
-
I've been trying to get my 50. I've got a 43 in Lone Wolves and a 41 in Swat, but all other playlists are in the 30's or 20's. There's too many try hards on the game to get a 50, so I'd need a pretty good team.
-
Well I'm a 5 star general so try hards still see me as a threat. Just last game it was a full team of try hards against me and some random. They were trying their hearts out the whole game. I manage to get 10 kills and some kid kept sending me angry messages lol.

Son get back to studying, I know who you are e.e *slowly writes in book*
