Overall, 162 out of the 532 elected officials (includes Senate and the House) voted against the bill, all of whom were Republicans. The bill is now being sent to Obama and he has said that once it reaches his desk, he will sign it immediately and will begin to reopen the government as soon as possible.
A committee is being put together at the moment to address the budget issues and they are scheduled to submit their recommendations on December 13, 2013.

What is so -blam!-ing happy about it? That the leaders of a minority in one party of one branch of our government finally started getting enough shit shoved up their ass about their obstructionist bullshit that they started fearing for their political futures at the hands of the pissed off American people over the American Taliban known as the Tea Party if they didn't vote yes on this bill? We are going to have a repeat performance next year when this shit is set to expire. And we'll be right back to where we were. With a minority in the House opposing all legislation that doesn't gut Obamacare until the government collapses or Democrats cave. And god forbid if this is how we start funding our country: Months at a time, with bills, people's well being, the economy and our country being used as chips at a poker table. So why the -blam!- should I be happy.
