District 9 for me. I just finished watching it for the second time since I saw it in theaters back in '09 and I still don't get it. I figured that if I gave it another chance, my opinion of the movie would be different considering the amount of critical acclaim it received and the fact that other movies are still being compared to it today. But no I still think the movie was okay at best.

I think The Big Bang theory is incredibly unfunny and it's humor derives too much from all that "le Geek Culture" bullshit exemplified by literally any website that describes it's demographic as "the geek crowd". And the science jokes aren't even funny, it's the same "Hurr hurr they is smart science people me no understand big words! Hurr hurr durr dem is weird and funny hurr hurr" humor that got any kid with a grasp of grammar socially isolated back in elementary school. Seriously, awful fücking show. Actually everyone I know IRL who likes it is a dumbass mainstream droolie that thinks my moderate intelligence is something notable, so I can at least see WHO might find it funny.

I didn't really like Zero Dark Thirty. But other than that, most people seem to like the same movies or TV shows I like. That being said, I don't watch many movies and I seldom watch TV nowadays except for BBC News and Jeopardy. However, I absolutely cannot understand why people enjoy Castle Crashers.

Some of the one's already listed here: Duck Dynasty, South Park, The Simpsons. Ones that my friends absolutely love that I don't understand: Pretty little liars, vampire diaries.. and that's the only two I can recall at the moment.

I don't see the fascination with Breaking Bad. I watched the first four seasons and I just didn't see the big deal. I loved the cinematography and the character development was solid, but I didn't give a single shit about any of the characters. I just flat out disliked all of them. The dramatic effects and cliff hangers were really good, but the story was pretty predictable. I don't need to be wowed to like a show, it's just everyone talked this show up and I insist don't get it.

Adventure time, I guess I'm not hipster enough to understand it.

Edited by Knightmare01: 10/16/2013 6:58:12 PMThe Walking Dead, it's just so boring. I liked 'District 9', liked how they took the main character from a dickish bureaucrat, and turned him into an action hero at the end. Not to mention, they actually got me to care about the alien Christopher all while keeping him looking like an ugly insect. They could've easily made the aliens like Avatar, perfect looking, to get us to care about them, but instead they did it through character development. Plus, the cgi effects were great! I don't know what everyone hates about it.

Avatar. I seriously don't get what everyone else finds so amazing about that movie.

Edited by Ad Hoc: 10/19/2013 6:09:49 AMI don't get the appeal of the American Pie movies, or any Teen movies for that matter. They really annoy the shit out of me.

So I'm not the only one who didn't care for District 9. It's not really hard to see what it's getting at. It revolves around a marginalized group of people (well, aliens) in South Africa. The only way it could be more obvious is if the alien dad was named "Nelson". Then there's the MNU. The bad guys in their big WHITE headquarters will all these secret WHITE walled laboratories inside guarded by military thugs in WHITE body armour who fly around in WHITE helicopters and drive WHITE jeeps. Not exactly subtle...
