SNL always has a few bad skits each week, but does anyone else think this new cast kinda sucks? Last night's episode with Bruce Willis was awful. The writing was just dumb, and they even recycled the meth skit from last week.
So is it the writers? The cast? Both?

I started watching SNL by watching the new ones and didn't find it very funny. I recently watched some old school SNL an thought that shit was hilarious. So yeah I 'd agree.

It's a cycle, this cast will suck, we'll get a new cast then a few years later it will get good again. This is a rough patch.

It has been for many many years now. The 90's were my favorite years. Matt Foley, Motivational Speaker is my favorite sketch in SNL.
-
It's been bad for at least 5-6 years, possibly more, for awhile now. I was looking forward to Saturday's show with Bruce Willis but forgot about watching it, last weeks with Miley Cyrus was gross as hell, suppose I shouldn't be surprised 10/12 was bad too.

It took you too long to realize this, OP.

Legit question. How do Americans find SNL remotely funny? I've watched it multiple times and the humour is so bland, cliche and stupid. I honestly don't think that show has made me laugh once.

SNL has been terrible for a long time now.
-
It lost its touch a long time ago.

Just the good actors

You're just now realizing this?
-
I'm going to go with the writers

It lost its touch awhile ago.

It's been that way for a while...
