How familiar are Europeans with the map of Europe?
considering it's the most important continent in the world they should take time to study it.

I don't believe that Europe has a bigger meaning than any other continent. EDIT: I misread the title, I thought that you were referring to the Americans. OT: Yes, people should be informed in geography. Especially when their own region is involved.
