So I went to play Halo Reach, and well, the matchmaking doesn't work. When I go to play is says "CONTENT MISSING. You are missing recommended downloadable content. Would you like to go to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace to learn more?" Then under that it says "Yes, take me to Xbox LIVE Marketplace!" And "No thanks."
So one can assume that if you press the first choice, it would either take you to the Xbox Live marketplace, or a little screen would pop up with all the Halo related items in the Live marketplace.. And that's exactly what happens...
But if you press "No thanks." It just sends you to the main menu in matchmaking, but you can't do anything, because at the top (above the area where it says "readying map," and/or "loading") it says, "Players do not have the recommended downloadable content maps."
WHAT MAPS ARE THEY?
-
The maps in question are part of DLC map packs. I'll admit, it's been a few minths since I last played Reach, but maybe the playlist you're selecting requires specific DLC.
-
The maps they are referring to are the DLC Map Pack maps. These include the two regular ones and the one that comes with the Anniversary Edition of Halo CE.

I blame Microsoft.
