Beta code questions... Need your thoughts on this matter.
I have a question.. I have preordered Destiny a while back, way before Bungie announced a beta. I preordered the game through GameStop for the PS4. Here's my question, has anybody preordered their copy of Destiny from GameStop and gotten a beta access code? I called GameStop and asked them for a code and the gentleman on the other line stated that code will not be available until early nex year to give out.... Well I'm on Bungies site and there is a 3 step code redemption process up and running for everyone... Now I'm starting to think that the dude at GameStop is full of horse manure. What do you guys think about this? Has anybody received a beta code or am I being too impatient? I just don't want to get screwed out of my beta code, you guys understand.

They were clueless at my gamestop too. They didn't know how to do it. I ended up canceling the pre-order and re-ordering it to get my code. It wasn't the easy way, but it was the quickest as they were running around like headless chickens trying to figure it out lol

It's rare these days to find a GameStop employee that [i]isn't[/i] full of manure. [b]I was just at my GameStop 30 minutes ago, and all he had to do was input my phone number.[/b] I was just as anxious as you about this situation this morning; go get your code ! I also heard that they'll (GameStop) be emailing the codes out by the 5th of October?

If you preordered before October 1st, you will need to call the Gamestop that you preordered it at and ask them for your code. If they say they aren't giving out the codes yet, don't believe them, they don't know what they are talking about, they have the codes already. They just reprint your reciept and read off the code to you.

The GameStop dude was misinformed. All he has to do is reprint your receipt. I got my code two days ago from GS.

1 ReplyGo to GameStop and ask to have your receipt re-printed. The code should be on there. If all else fails, you can just pre-order from Amazon instead.
