Complete Gun Control = Not exactly a good thing

Guns get out of the hands of the citizens and then they can't defend themselves when the criminal gets their hands on the weapon. However, let the citizens free roam with the weapons, and it'll deter the criminal from performing criminal action (unless they're actually batshit insane). Even then, the batshit insane criminal will still be cut short of causing major casualties. Anyone else agree or wish to expand on this topic? *I do believe that gun owners should be registered. I wouldn't want every single citizen to be carrying a weapon.

 •
Anyone else agree or wish to expand on this topic?
Expand? Sure. You're entire premise is flawed and broken.
Gun Control = Not exactly a good thing.
No. The appropriate amount of gun control is a good thing. Take away the retarded Democrat bills to ban scary black assault weapons, cap magazine, and make owners disassemble their gun to refill the magazine and you're still left with gun control. Because background checks is a form of gun control. It literally is controlling who gets a gun and who doesn't. Abolishing all gun control means we get shit like what happened at the naval yard just recently. Somebody sold a gun to a deranged lunatic who is going to use it against innocent people. That specifically was due to the person in question being discharged and unfit for service in the military but still fit to buy a gun somehow and his background check not getting flagged and then waved through as not to cause problems when it was.
If citizens have guns, that'll discourage crime because criminals don't want to get shot.
This is where it gets better. This is a fine hypothesis to take. But as of the moment, we have no relevant data to back up that claim and a bunch of signs going contrary to this. Criminals may just escalate in response to people carrying guns. Shooting first and then looting. They may just become more careful to loot empty houses or stalk to ensure completely vulnerable prey. It may also cause a MAD situation between two citizens where one brandishes his weapon and the other response, creating a vicious feedback cycle.
