Xbox one is $500 and £429
If you buy the console from America directly it ends up as £307 and probably cheaper for the PS4 as well. (No tariffs, VAT, P&P taken into account).

But then you still have to pay for shipping and stuff.

It's a completely different format doofus - who the hell wants to import every game from the US?
-
And isnt the format different? (PAL, etc...)

Edited by Lord Commissar: 10/1/2013 4:17:55 PMWhen you add in sales tax it's actually around $550. Then you're probably looking at about $100 for shipping alone after that. Not sure what the tariff is at though. Without the tariffs you're looking at about £401.16. Tariffs included could drive that up to either a similar cost or one that exceeds just buying it locally.

I was looking at doing this just after the announcement of the PS4, don't think I went for it because of some who-har over power supply.
-
Yeah, I'm kinda gonna build a PC.
-
Yeah, that's my plan, although it's still not a day 1 buy. The disparity in price is astounding. We pay £100 extra... For what?
-
Another thing occurred to me, doesn't the US version have a Sales Tax after the price whereas the UK version has VAT worked into it. I think they end up pretty much the same price when tax is accounted for.

What about region lock?
