Personally, I think it's very interesting. It looks to have the potential to either be very intuitive or gimmicky. I've always hated using a keyboard an mouse for non-RTS games, and controllers have been void of innovation for a while. What are your opinions? Innovation or gimmick?

It's one of the worst controllers I've ever seen. It's even worse than the Atari 5200 controller. I'm not sure if I should make fun of Valve or applaud them for accomplishing that.
-
Looks like it'll suck.
-
I'd like to try it out.
-
Looks really strange. Maybe it'll be good though, who knows.
-
Valve made it, they don't typically screw things up. I'm sure there's great logic behind it.
-
I'm tempted so say this is going to be a terrible controller based off looks alone. However, I also have a feeling Valve wouldn't just throw a controller out there that hasn't been tested a good amount on its design and functionality. I really need to get my hands on it first to really decide.

What am I staring at?
-
Well lets just wait and use it first
-
Is that the front?
-
The layout looks ridiculously confusing, but maybe it would be good once people got used to it.

I'm extremely skeptical. Having trackpads instead of analog sticks will make or break the controller. I honestly can't see the trackpad working out. The physical feedback from the friction of pushing an analog stick in one direction allows you to adjust accordingly.

Edited by JLx24: 9/29/2013 3:56:50 AMOne thing I'm confused about, if you have your thumb on it, then how the hell does it know what direction you actually want to aim is? People aren't going to use the tips of their thumbs, they would rest the majority of it on the track pad.

Best controller ever!

On paper this thing is great. However, in practice... yeah. I don't know.
-
Designed for more precision than a stick... but still relies on using your thumbs. Bio mechanics suggests the improvement in precision will be... limited. Guess we'll wait and see.
-
I won't have a solid opinion until I have a chance to use it, but I'm glad they didn't pull a Sony and rip off Xbox controllers.
-
Ill just a wait until i try it before i judge it i mean there is no way i can tell how it will play from that pic, and is that the back or the front?
-
It's interesting because it's something completely new. It could either be the best controller ever or a total failure. Touch pads could go either way. On one hand they're really different from analogue sticks, on the other hand touch is probably the most intuitive form of control and its something we use all the time these days.

I'm genuinely excited for it.

Edited by The Random: 9/29/2013 3:59:06 AMLooks interesting. If it works, it's a good innovation. But we won't know that until we use it.
