Specifically, they've refined the figure from a 90% probability that humans are responsible for global warming through their emissions of greenhouse gases to 95%.
The figure, in the IPCC's Fifth Assessment Report, which was released in Stockholm on Friday, is a 5 per cent increase from the panel's 2007 landmark report.
More than 600 scientists and researchers contributed to the fifth assessment report, which is the result of almost seven years' work by scientists and policymakers.
It is based on more than 50,000 contributions from around the world, and an exhaustive peer review process.

The majority of the modelling points to a global mean sea-level rise of between 26 and 82 centimetres by 2100.
The worst case scenario is for a sea level rise of 98cm.
The majority of climate models point to a mean temperature rise of around 2 degrees Celsius. The smallest predicted temperature rise is 0.3C and the largest rise is 4.8C.
"Many of the observed changes are unprecedented over decades to millennia," IPCC chairperson Rajendra Pachauri said.
So do you think that we shouldn't be doing anything about global warming, or are you correct?

Necrobump

Global Warming = horseshit There's this thing called climate change...
-
Ha! This proves that they have no idea what they are doing and are just flip flopping around more than a Magikarp! Global Warming is officially a hoax! Dismantle the EPA so we can start dumping CO2 into the atmosphere. That picture I linked? That's the picture of progress bitches!

In central Canada global warming is a good thing eh
-
Nice misleading title. Got all the climate change deniers to click in.
-
Edited by Ad Hoc: 9/29/2013 3:52:27 AMYour title is very misleading and everyone is falling for it. *thumbs up* Leave it to the Flood(and the Republicans) to deny a scientific consensus.
-
Do nothing until New Jersey and Puerto Rico get flooded out.
-
Can we all agree to just...punch climate change deniers in the face from now on?
-
Edited by Mad Max: 9/29/2013 6:45:57 AMWe need a second opinion and private review. You don't just believe one sources data without others replicating it. That's not being scientific. And it says it's peer reviewed, but only but members of the IPCC. We need privatized research.
-
ahh global whining. We have dismissed that claim.
-
Daily reminder that climate change denial is reality denial. Denial of this is also reality denial.
-
The most significant development is that oceans are absorbing the vast majority of emissions. I'm no expert, but this could be really, really bad for certain species. IIRC CO2 has made the ocean more acidic, and has raised ocean temperatures by half a degree.

somebody get me a smurf email so i can email my history teacher.

Do I honestly need more reasons to hate climate change deniers?
