Thoughts on Legend of Korra
So, i'm currently caught up on Legend of Korra. Who else here is enjoying that show? Thoughts, opinions?

Edited by Seggi: 9/26/2013 11:37:58 PMKorra's a petulant, whiny little kid, Mako's practically a nonentity, Bolin has pretty much exclusively been used for comic relief and Korra's uncle's trying to start a war. I don't know how anybody can possibly empathise with any of the characters hanging around the southern water tribe.

Animation is solid Dialogue is solid It's a good show I just kinda wish they didn't do the whole shipping thing so soon

I've thought it was pretty cool but haven't had the time to watch it with my finishing the Doctor Who seasons. And then with The Walking Dead coming up soon, I still probably won't be able to watch it.

2 Replies1st season: two cramped. The annoying love triangle was rushed and took prevalence over the anti-bending controversy. Amon's guys dud have a very valid point, but it gets brushed aside and replaces with 'Amon was an evil liar all along'. I hope this gets raised again this or next season. Currently, its getting good. The twins are funny, the business guy is too, Korra is becoming slightly more likeable and the spirits look mother-blam!-ing awesome.

10 RepliesGreat show, so far season 2 wasn't as good as the first but that's to be expected because we're not too far into it. It's about as good as the first series so far.

A great story and hope theh do not rush it. Will say it feels good to see them move on but wanna see business girl more to see her and her companies story. Bolin is just an idiot as usual.

6 RepliesSeason 2 observations: - Korra has reverted back to an angsty teenager. Her character development from season 1 seems to have been tossed out the window - Controversy of Aang's parenting/favoritism of Tenzin is interesting, I want to see more of it - Bolin is actually funny now - Mako is no longer a one-dimensional monkey wrench - Unalaq is too much like Tarlok in basically every way, but if I remember correctly, a spirit is going to be the main villain this season, not him - We'd better get Zuko this season or I will destroy all that Nickelodeon holds dear

Season 2 is looking amazing so far. Interesting new characters, great story, and a step up from already solid animation in Season 1. I can't wait to see the Spirit World and this "First Avatar".

2 RepliesI started watching avatar for the first time about a week ago and finished it a few days ago. I loved it. I watched the first season of korra and episodes 1 and 2 of the second season, it is really good. It has fantastic animation, a compelling story, and korra brings more sophisticated concepts to the series. I'm surprised such a good show airs on Nickelodeon.

1 ReplyI love it, have to watch it on saturdays being a brit with no Nickoldeon and the website doesn't work for UK folk. Keeps the same spirit and vibe of the original which is why it's so great.
