I forgot how amazing this game was. Other than a few issues (awful GUI) it's a really great game. Anyone else like Borderlands 1 as well?

Edited by Comet: 9/24/2013 6:25:36 PMBL1 had the most broken pistols. i -blam!-ing loved them. seriously if you can, find a good gunslinger mod and this gun = heaven. if you are spec'ed for fire rate. the audio literally cuts out because it shoots too fast. :) i loved that game so much. that was one thing i was sad didnt translate very well into BL2.

Loved Borderlands 1 and 2. Both games have pros and cons. What I missed most in 2 was my Atlas guns - I know the in universe explanation was Atlas is out of business but where did all the guns go? I would have loved to see them with their own Borderlands 2 design and/or make a new rarity called Atlas for them.

Great game, but I prefer Borderlands 2 in almost every way.

Edited by Kalameet: 9/24/2013 5:57:06 PMI loved it, and it's superior to the second game in some ways, especially the scaling and balance. Oh, and raid boss wise, too. Crawmerax might have been the only raid boss, but he is FAR better than any of the bosses in BL2. Excellent loot drops, little artificial difficulty, challenging yet still fun, and not just a DPS race.

I didn't enjoy the game when I first played it, and only really got into it about a year ago. There are things I prefer about it compared to the sequel, mainly the weapon scaling, drop rates, and the atmosphere.

I wasn't a fan, but my best friend really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed BL I. Wish I still owned it. I love playing BL2 but sometimes its fun to play the first again. Lots of fun to be had. Plus crawmarfax ( may have butchered spelling) is still my favorite boss. He just looks cool and fun to fight legit

I loved them both honestly and I still play two

The environments were less varied than BL2 and the main villain was nonexistant. But i had a blast playing both of them, the humour was a bit more subtle in the first game.
-
Weapon Scaling in BL1 is far better and i mean Brick melee fun time cant be tamed
-
It doesn't really have much going for it compared to its successor, truth be told.

The classes in BL1 were a lot more distinctive. For example, the soldier was the only class in BL1 that is able to heal teammates, to my knowledge. But in BL2, I know that at least the commando and the siren are able to heal teammates. Some people complained that the original story was almost non-existent, but if you read the mission blurbs, you could enjoy it. There's a vid on youtube of all the unused voicework left in the game, it was all scrapped when they decided to make the game more comical rather than apocalyptic drama.

Yeah, awhile ago I rented it again to play as Lilith and get a lot more achievements, completely ignored her beforehand and had no idea why when I got to BL2 and saw Maya's awesomeness.
