So I was thinking. In the Medieval era, medical knowledge was (obviously) a lot less advanced than it is now. Back then they blamed a lot of things that are perfectly logical to our eyes as acts of god, and would repent or rejoice to these things in response as the situation demanded. So; what would they have thought of someone with Congenital insensitivity to pain back then, assuming of course that this person survived long enough to be able to say "Oh hey, I can't feel pain" or whatever. Would they have seen this as a blessing of whatever god or gods they worshiped in their land? Or would they consider this person to be possessed by a demon or something? Or would they maybe just say "Oh, that's pretty cool. I guess. Now go plant some crops or something peasant, sheesh."
I'm interested to hear what you guys think, I'm too dumb to generate my own thoughts.

I'm sure something similar to the Salem Witch Trials would occur.
