More and more with games nowadays, the focus has shifted from making a game look more realistic, rather than making the game look more unique. This saddens me, in part because the games that try to look more realistic now, are only going to look dated five years from now. The games that try to go for a more unique art-style however, will stand the test of time. I discuss this and more in my video. See you after the jump!

It's against the rules to advertise on the boards. You may want to take this down...

Yeah. Reach's art style was one if the few superior things about it, but 4 had better graphics.

I always argued with people saying how poor the graphics were on Torchlight 2 vs Diablo 3 and when I brought up that it's the art style I got criticized for my comments and told I was wrong. I think people have this obsession with seeing like lets say particles of dust on the surface texture on a table and they will OOO and AHHH at it all day saying "THE GRAPHICS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!" while a game that is made to be cartoonish wont have this level of detail and will get comments like "God the graphics of this game are shit! Who want to play this?!" or also being immediately called a game for kids. The funny thing about this is that we have a game like borderlands that sooo many people praise and say it looks awesome while at the same time they'll bash 2 similar titles like Diablo 3 vs Torchlight 2 and will say how hideous TL2 is for graphics.
