So, first of all, I live in Canada. While we have Gamestop, we have a Canadian version called EB Games as well.
These are, more or less, the cornerstone retailers in the business. They get all the good pre-order bonuses, and they have the worst business plan.
Anyways, for the last couple of months, I have refused to buy from them. This put me into a bit of a predicament. Where was I going to pre-order?
Basically, I went to Future Shop. Really great service, and I pre-ordered Call of Duty: Ghosts (X360) (sue me, it looks awesome), Pokémon: X Version, and Batman: Arkham Asylum (X360).
What, where and why did you guys pre-order?

Futureshop. In canada as well. They had a 10% of all game preorders.... So I got Cod pristege, titanfall, halo, battlefront, watchdogs, ac5, witcher 3.
-
Amazon always delivers my stuff five to six hours before midnight launch.
-
Gamestop. The guys at the one by me know me, and their all pretty chill. I preordered Ghosts, BF4 Premium, AC Black Flag, Watch Dogs, Titanfall, and Destiny. Quite the line-up, all for the Xbox One

Prepare to be sued.
-
Walmart sometimes has cool things with orders or game purchases period.
-
I pre-order almost all of my games from Amazon. I'll only make an exception if I want to go to a midnight release, or I want to get in the early morning as opposed to the afternoon when UPS delivers my packages. In either of those cases, I'll pre-order at GameStop.
-
I rarely preorder games. Only games i preordered were reach on some weird website ( i never received the package), halo ce anniversary at gamestop and halo 4 from amazon... Yeah that's it
-
GameStop. Sue me, I trade in my games.
Call of Duty: Ghosts (X360) (sue me, it looks awesome)
I'm calling my lawyer.

Edited by xXIronSausageXx: 10/18/2013 11:21:52 PMFor anything with a preorder bonus I go through Gamestop or Amazon. It all depends on who has the better preorder bonus. Anything else I go through a local store called GameOn. The people are awesome there and they sell new games for $55 instead of $60.

Since you are in Canada, online retailers like Amazon who do pre orders maybe your best option

EB games was bought out by GameStop here in the U.S. So nearly all of the EB games (or all) were renamed to GameStop.
